Keep your eye open for some of those old Micky Mouse boots from Korea. Those things saved a lot of feet.

Really good leather boots are now tragically expensive – $300. You’d be better off with trying cheap, insulated Walmart boots. Maybe you could get some use out of them.

But don’t rule out military surplus stuff. There might be something good around.

The best all around boot for construction jobs and stuff in the cold were “Pacs” – I have no idea what the spelling would be. You probably know about those. Rubber lower part – leather upper part – lining of felt. But don’t get them too big or you can get awful blisters in them from your foot sliding around.

    good luck with the hunting!

I use the Lacrosse Alpha Burly and the Muck swampland boots. Both keep your feet warm.
