I’d imagine it could. I’d recommend storing your hunting clothes in an airtight container (maybe just a garbage bag). That will keep the smell off of your clothes. The charcoal layer in scent lock clothes is placed to absorb the smells from your body. The smoke would be in the fabric on the outside of the scent lock layer. Just wash the clothes in some scent free laundry soap, then store them in either a plastic bag or a plastic tote. Hope this helps.

You bet it will help! Still, you’ll need to take all the other precautions previous to hunting. It doesn’t allow for someone to do whatever they want before hunting, but it does help. I got my gear and it came with a double-zip scent-proof bag. It seems to help. I still wash it and ‘re-activate’ the carbon every 15-20 hours of hunting, especially in the early fall when it is still a bit warm. Hunt safe!
