none really.. it is just named so on what is the purpose of the boots?

the only difference is your purpose for being in the woods
they should be comfortable, good fitting, broken in boots that
support your arches and ankles protect your feet and don’t
cause blisters.

Hiking boots are lighter weight, not usually insulated.

Hunting boots are built heavier, with insulation to keep feet warm in winter.

Hiking boots for hunting – as long as you are not hunting in snow / wet weather.

Hunting boots for hiking – not unless you are hiking in the winter.
