I wear wide boots and the Belleville fit great but I have only had them for a few weeks and not really broke in yet. They are a pair of Navy steel toe flight boots with NOMEX lining and the X-Static inserts hot weather boot.
From my own experance, danners were the worse. I wear a 10 1/2 wide. When I would try the danners that were up to a size and a half over size, they were still not wide enough. The others were still sufficient, but I always did best in the basic issue leather combat boot, cocorans, and Black Jungles. In Iraq, I had no problem with the summer or winter desert boot.
Each hav there good and bad. Me personally as an Infantryman I love my Bellevilles, Danners just kill my feet!! But at the sametime my Danners have lasted me longer without breaking, my Bellevilles already have had the eyelet break through the boot, unfixable. For me though for comfortablity its Bellevilles all the way!!
