Which COMBAT BOOT is better?

Is Oakley's "SI Hot Weather Assault Boot Inch 6" (22 oz) better than the "Danner Terra Force X 9 Inch" (32 oz)? I have several pair of Danners (nice boot, a bit heavy), but how are the Oakley SI 6 inch Assault book?

Boots to be used for very fast (sometimes running) ruck marching. After 6 miles the Danners feel like heavy bricks. 48lb at an average of 14 minutes per mile.

i always wore a ‘jump boot’ but then again, i ran in them for PT also.

paying for it now, bad knees, ankles and back.

oh well, hope that the Army has learned.

Personally I prefer Blackhawks warrior wear Desert Ops, They require no break in time, are as comfortable as a pair of go-fasts and are authorized. They last a while too. I know some grunts who have worn them through 2 deployments. If your interested you can find them at LApolicegear.com.

Danners is way better than oakley… im using danners and it feels good.

Oakley SI’s are incredible comfortable, like wearing tennis shoes. They are extremely tough, long lasting, and light weight. They are the only boots I own now, and only boots I would buy again. Other Desert Boots i would recommend are OTB Odhin. Link Below.

It depends on what you want them for. Oakleys dont last with heavy rucks, they are for assauly like it says. Danners are good for rucking but are heavy. If you are looking for a great all around boot look at Garmont. They have soft soles and drain plugs. Also no cuffs or shanks so they are relatively light for the type of boot they are

I think the belleville is the best all around boot now. Durable for everything and comfortable. Nike”s sfb is THE most comfortable boot on the market.Period. Has a nike free sole. They are awesome. Oakley’s last longer than the nike boots though. The 5.11 hrt boots are also an amazing boot and quite durable. It’s just not quite as durable as the belleville. Though it is much lighter.
