Heated Hunting Boots?

There are a few manufacturers that are now offering hunting boots that have a built-in electrical heating source. If they work as advertised, they could be a really nice option for those who hunt in sub-freezing temps. Models like this Columbia feature a built in wire harness that acutally plugs into the wall and runs off a built in battery. Depending on the heat setting and battery life, Columbia says they will heat for 4-8 hours.

While I think this is really innovative thinking, I will most like wait and see how these boots do in the market. At this point, I prefer a nice thick pair of wool socks and an appropriately insulated pair of hunting boots.

For some people who really embrace technology, these will be a must have. This will be especially true for the people who freeze every year in a deer stand.

They aren't stiched on, but instead it looks like they're glued on ( i think thats called cement construction). Can I get them resoled? And if so, how much does that usually cost?
I use these boots to work in by the way. I don't think there are any better work, or outdoor boots than Wolverine.

Buying boots off the internet or online means that you absolutely have to have a clear understanding of your boot size. There's nothing worse than buying and receiving a pair of books online to find that you ordered the wrong size. Then you have to deal with the pain and hassle of a return and re-order.

Generally, it's a good idea to look at boots that are one size larger than your tennis shoes. This is done to accommodate the thicker socks that most hunters wear during the cold weather seasons.

For example, I ususally wear a size 11.5 shoe so I buy a 12.5 boot. This sizing method has worked very well for me over the years.
