Irish Setter Boots

Irish Setter boots are manufactured and sold by Red Wing Shoes out of Red Wing, MN.  Red Wing shoes was founded in 1910 and started offering the Irish Setter boots in 1936. This line was modeled after the popular line of Red Wing boots. During WWI and most of WWII, Red Wing had the U.S.Army contract for boots and supplied over half a million pairs of boots during each war. Like many manufacturers during that time, Red Wing employed a number of women to fulfill production needs for the military.

Irish Setter offers over 150 different boots models including:

Irish Setter uses a number of different material technology like Thinsulate, GORE-TEX, Thermalite, Vibram, and Scentban. They offer a number of different boot lengths including a chukka style, 18 inch full boot, and knee boots.  Each style is designed for specific hunting booting applications.

Irish Setter boots have always maintained a fair amount of popularity that dates back to their military contracts.  They were one of the first boot manufacturers to embrace technology and start using different fabrics besides leather.
