Working as a correctional officer, wanting to find a good pair of boots?

rocky boots
crazy_sami asked:

I want a good, comfortable pair of boots for a lot of walking, standing, etc. I'm willing to pay around a $100 or so. I've seen Bates brand, also Rocky, just don't know if they're any good. I am a woman, if that helps any! I'm really clueless to what kind to buy. I don't want any that are too high, 6-8". Thanks for the help!
EDIT: I forgot to mention they have to be completely black, shineable toes at least, kinda like most of the military style boots I've seen.
Anyone tried that Bates Womens Enforcers?
Thanks again!

Rocky, Bates and Northlake are all ok – go to Oakley’s website – they give LE about 50% off.

is there any place to buy real army boots. Best boots I ever had.

Best boots I’ve ever bought were red wing hikers…they have composite safety toes and shanks. Could come in handy if you have to put the boots to an inmate!

Check out Corcoran’s too. I’m in the military. I’m a fan of the Marauders, mostly for looks. But, the Machs are super comfortable. They’re very much like wearing tennis shoes.

Aren’t those new USAF sage boots horrible!?!?!?!?!? And just look at the price! I’ve got no idea what our leadership was smoking, but it must have been good. Thank god, they’re rethinking that decision.

If you want some gooood boots that will be comfortable from start to finish, buy yourself a pair of Cabelas tactical boots. If you’re going to be on your feet all the day, these are the ones. I have had mine for 3 years now and they are just as comfortable as new. (Work 7 12’s every 2 weeks so they will hold up.)

This is a personal preference as answers will vary. U work in an environment that is demanding. I bought a pair of Magnum stealth. An excellent boot. Magnum are priced better with more features. Go to their site and see for yourself.
