What are “high tech army boots”?

I have signed up for several army school. Several of the course descriptions say "no high tech boots" Do I need to contact each school and ask them what they mean by "high tech army boots?" or is there a unified army standard for high tech army boots?
SPECIFICALLY, would Oakley SI Assault boots be "high tech" boots?
And would Danner TFX boots be "high tech" boots?

I got blisters on my heel from a 6 mile hike. What should I change in my boots?

We did a 6 mile force march today and I got blisters on directly under my heel. It is painful to put pressure on that foot, and I have let the fluid drain to release the pressure. I am currently wearing size 9 EE Danner 26027 boots. I am thinking about buying some Danner 26014. What should I change to prevent the blisters. I was thinking smaller by 1/2 size because my feel are sliding???? I don't get blisters when walking around base, just the long hike. I have done some runs (up to 2 mi) in them with no blisters as well. I want the 26014's for running and marches.

I am trying to buy my husband a new pair of danner boots and need to know the difference between d and ee width he has wide feet and i want to get him the best fit.

and I have had them for about 8 months, I recently washed them with warm water and a brush and let them dry for about a week. Now the left one only is so squeaky, it comes from all over, not just the heel or toe. I have to wear them everyday, what can I do?
Are “Desert TFX Tan Rough Out” Danner brand boots permissible under 670-1 optional wear?

It seems to me like AR670-1 optional wear states that you can wear them if your commander says its okay. I'm just currious if I actully have to ask since these boots just have a curvy sole. They aren't the Converse or Oakley boots.
Is it true that Wolverine Brand boots and shoes are the best?

I've got a friend that is on his feet at least 12 a day working, and he's tellin me that Wolverine Brand boots are the most comfortable, durable, and longest lasting boots made. True or not true? I'm looking 4 answers about this brand of boot, not recommendations of other boots ok. I know that Catapillar, Georga, Danner and Justin are great boots to.
